Beauty with a heart
Meet this month’s cover star Trinity / @trinitydang
Such an absolute honor to have you! Thank you so much it really means a lot. This one’s especially close to my heart because Australia has always shown me so much love from the very beginning. It feels like such a full-circle moment with this cover. Shout out to my Aussies.
How do you like to begin your day? Always with intention even if it’s just a few quiet moments before the day asks anything of me. I like to start with what feels good to me that morning gentle movement, stretching, breathwork, or just lighting an incense and allowing myself to be still. Tea, coffee, or water comes next whatever my body needs that morning and I always make sure to check in with myself before I check in with the world (yes, phone included). Some mornings I journal, some mornings it’s just a quick moment to breathe but making sure I take that time to be still is nonnegotiable for me. It grounds me, resets me, connects me to myself, and helps me move through my day with clarity. It’s something I’ve had to learn, especially living such a fast-paced life but now it’s a part of how I live. I’ve learned that stillness doesn’t just happen you have to choose it. And the most powerful thing I can do each morning… is choose me first.
What’s the most exciting hobby or interest you’ve pursued recently, and how did you get into it? The last few years, I’ve been deep in wellness, holistic healing, and Traditional Chinese Medicine. After years in the modeling and media space always on, always performing I reached a point where I knew I needed to slow down and really reconnect with myself. That journey into healing opened up an entirely new way of living. It’s helped me create a sense of calm and clarity in the middle of a fast-moving, pressure-filled lifestyle. Stillness has now become something I practice, embody, and share through my wellness brand The Still Project. I’ve fallen in love with curating intentional experiences and tools that have supported me through chaos and now offer that same support to others navigating high-performance lives. It’s the most meaningful work I’ve done bringing stillness to a world that seems to never stops asking for more.
If you could spend a day doing anything you wanted, what would your ideal day look like? I love a day that feels like a full experience like a story you want to stay in. Fresh linens, soft light, the smell of incense or something warm in the kitchen. A slow morning, good food, and plans that feel easy but intentional maybe some movement, a little wellness, exploring something beautiful… a little art, a little culture, a little fun. I’m all about the details the energy, the rhythm, the way everything flows. I like when a day feels thoughtful but not forced. Whether I’m solo, with someone I love, at home, or away it’s the same feeling I always try to create. And it’s the same feeling I bring into my getaways, too. That mix of intention, beauty, and freedom… that’s my favorite kind of day. The kind of day you don’t want to end. The kind you want to wake up to again and again. It’s not about doing everything it’s about feeling everything.
What’s a project or goal you’re currently working on that you’re really excited about? Definitely The Still Project it’s the most personal thing I’ve ever built. It’s a modern wellness brand rooted in helping people find calm in the chaos. It came from my own journey of navigating pressure, burnout, and self-discovery and turning those lessons into something that can support others too. Whether it’s through retreats, rituals, or honest conversation, Still is about reminding people that there’s power in slowing down… and that you don’t have to lose yourself to chase big dreams. I’m really passionate about helping people navigate the pressure of modern life while staying connected to themselves and their journeys. Right now, I’m creating more storytelling-focused content and intentional products that feel meaningful and actually help. This next chapter for me is a lot more about impact than image and that shift feels really good. And who knows… maybe you’re overdue for a little stillness too. Don’t worry I’ve got you.

What’s the most memorable date you’ve ever been on, and what made it stand out? I don’t think I have one most memorable date it’s hard to beat the way I treat myself, honestly. But if someone were to truly impress me, it wouldn’t be about status, flash, or expensive places. It’d be about presence, effort, and intention. Something creative, well thought out, maybe a little unexpected and personal. A little escape, an experience with meaning, or just quality time that feels intentional. That kind of energy stays with you. Personal, present, and thoughtfully done. Experience over everything. That’s the love language.
Are there any qualities or traits you find particularly attractive in a partner? What do you value the most? It’s always the energy for me. I’m drawn to someone calm but captivating emotionally grounded, genuinely kind, and quietly confident. The type of person who makes you feel safe without needing to say much. I love a good mix stable but fun, deep but light, and spontaneous but thoughtful. Someone who can ground me, make me laugh and keep me on my toes in all the right ways. If you can read the room, lead with intention, and still not take life too seriously… you’ve got my attention. I don’t need perfect just presence. Consistent, emotionally aware, and who really sees me for me. It’s always the little things for me. And when it’s right it’s all about energy.

Who has been your biggest inspiration or role model in your personal or professional life? I’m inspired by people who turn pressure into power the ones who know who they are, move with intention, and keep showing up for themselves and their vision. People who invest in their growth, in their team, in something bigger than themselves… and make it look good while doing it. I admire those who lead with kindness, stay sharp, and don’t just talk about it—they build it. The ones who grow, glow and make everyone around them better without losing who they are in the process. Those are the kinds of people I look up to, the kind of energy I admire, and the kind of light I hope people feel from me too.
What do you enjoy most about your hobbies or interests outside of work? I love anything that brings me back to myself whether it’s creating, learning, traveling, or just being connected. I also really love making things with my hands cooking, crafts, and writing. It’s healing to do something where the only goal is to connect. After years of performing for the world, I’ve come to really value doing things just because they bring a special feeling of stillness.

How do you find a balance between your personal life and your career? This one’s personal because if I didn’t learn how to find balance, I honestly don’t think I’d still be here. It’s taken me years to even understand what balance really means. When you grow up in a world that tells you to go harder, do more, and constantly prove your worth it’s easy to lose yourself and your center. My industry moves fast. It’s demanding, volatile, and always asking for more. For a long time, I gave more than I had. I thought success meant doing everything, being everywhere, and pushing through no matter what. But eventually, I broke. I’ve learned that balance isn’t about doing it all perfectly it’s about knowing when to push and when to pause. It’s about seasons, not symmetry. And it’s about moving with intention while keeping your values and priorities in check. Stillness is where I found my balance. Without it, I wouldn’t have the clarity or confidence I carry now. Because the truth is—if you don’t protect your peace and prioritize your wellness, this world will take you out before you even get started. I’ve had to unlearn the idea that success means constant motion. Hustle culture isn’t the only way. And sometimes, being still is the most powerful move you can make.
How do you stay motivated and overcome challenges in your work? I stay connected to my why. When things get hard and they do I remind myself why I started. I’m not just building a brand I’m curating a life that feels elevated, intentional, and always evolving. I’ve failed, restarted, and reshaped my path more times than I can count. But that’s part of the process. I’ve learned to celebrate progress over perfection, and that shift changed everything for me. Overcoming challenges is about giving yourself grace, while still refusing to give up on what you know you’re capable of. I’m very clear on what I want to build and who I’m becoming so even on the tough days, I come back to stillness, remind myself of the vision, and trust the process. Because at the end of the day.. Everything is going to be okay.
