Hello, Layla, tell us a bit about yourself.
Hello! I grew up in a small coastal town on the mid north coast of NSW, surrounded by sun, the beach and a lifestyle that naturally pushed me toward creativity. I’ve always loved fashion, photography and expressing myself visually, but I never imagined it would turn into a full-time career. What started as sharing little moments of my life online slowly grew into a community and eventually became my job. I love creating spaces where people feel inspired, understood and connected. Over the years I’ve learned to embrace who I am, share my experiences honestly and turn my passions and adversity into strength and something meaningful. I’m still learning and evolving as a woman and creator, and I love taking my audience along with me every step of the way.

What would people be most surprised to know about you?
That I’m quite chaotic behind the scenes. Online I look quite put together and confident, however I grew up with a lot of adversity and struggled majorly with confidence during my teens. I think people expect me to be a bit reserved and overconfident in person, but when meeting people from online in person, they love that I’m the opposite!

What are the pros and cons of being an influencer?
Pros are all the opportunities you get with amazing brands, networking with people in the industry, getting creative with the content… the list goes on. Some cons are that there’s not much down time and even when you have down time that’s what your audience also wants to see. They also want to see all your hardships, which is understandable, but also difficult when you don’t want to share certain situations.

Would you ever date one of your Instagram followers?
I don’t think Instagram followers or someone who doesn’t follow me is different at all, so that wouldn’t even cross my mind when dating.

What do you look for in a man?
I look for honesty, respect, emotional maturity, self-awareness, someone who has old-school romance, masculine energy and bonus points for surfing.

When you’re not on social media or posing for FHM, what else would we find you doing?
You’ll find me on a morning walk and coffee with the girls, moving my body in some way at the gym, tanning by the beach or socialising with friends and family.

You collab with some activewear brands, what’s the best fitness tip you could give us?
Find what works best for you and what you can actually stick to. I highly recommend an online coach but also, stick to the basics. You know, 10k steps, lifting some weights and moving your body in any way. Also, protein!

What is your best asset, physically and otherwise?
Physically, I’d say eyes, it’s always in the eyes. Overall, I’d say my drive to constantly improve and be the best version of myself and the way I use adversity to drive strength. I’m also super empathetic and feel things intensely.

When do you feel sexy?
When I feel good overall. I think showing up as the best version of yourself and taking pride and effort in the way you present yourself everyday will in turn make you feel good. Getting dressed in a good outfit with the girls, or even doing a creative shoot like this, definitely makes me feel sexy.

How do you define confidence and sensuality?
Confidence is the ability to trust who you are without needing external validation. It’s knowing your worth, owning your individuality and showing up as your true self even on the days you don’t feel perfect. Sensuality is about connection – being present in my body, moving with softness and embracing my femininity in a way that feels natural.

What’s next for you? Any exciting upcoming projects you can share with us?
You will have to stay tuned, but there’s a few exciting campaigns and opportunities coming up with some dream brands. Also, I’m currently writing a book, but… that’s all you get for now.
