Natalie Roser

The amazing Aussie model, influencer, part-time photographer and entrepreneur helps celebrate the relaunch of FHM Australia & New Zealand…

Hey Natalie, welcome to FHM Australia & NZ and congrats on being our cover girl for our relaunch issue. How do you feel?
Thanks so much! There’s something extra special about being part of a relaunch – it just feels like a real moment, and I’m so grateful.

What did you love most about this photo shoot?
I love when shoots feel effortless. The energy on set, good music and just being in a space where everything clicks – it’s like magic. That’s what sticks with me about this day.

Well, you look stunning. What is your best asset?
Physically, I’ve always been proud of my smile. But honestly, my best asset is my positivity. Sometimes I even surprise myself with my happy outlook on life and situations.

When do you feel you’re at your sexiest?
When I’m 100% myself – laughing, being myself, wearing something I love and feeling good inside. That’s when it radiates.

How do you define confidence and sensuality?
Confidence is owning who you are – flaws and all – and walking into a room and knowing your worth. Sensuality is in the small moments, eye contact, curves of the body, but most importantly in your smile and mindset.

For those who don’t know much about you, give us a little more background info.
I grew up in Newcastle, NSW – basically the beach was my backyard. I got swept into modelling at 13, studied Visual Communication and Design at Newcastle University, then split time between modelling and running my photography side hustle from age 18. I was also a Miss Universe Australia finalist, landed many magazine covers in Australia and internationally and eventually launched my own lingerie label, Bare Ones, plus an editorial passion project called SERIES.

Amazing. What would people be most surprised to know about you?
That I started my own photography business when I was 18 and that I’ve been in front of the camera since I was 13. I love that I have that experience from both sides of the lens.

What’s been your career highlight so far?
There’s been a few, but recently I appeared in a larger-than-life digital billboard in New York’s Times Square for one of my favourite swimwear labels, Ark Swimwear. Unbelievable tick off the career bucket list.

What are the pros and cons about being an Influencer?
Pros: flexibility, creativity, connecting with people around the world. Cons: feels like you’re ‘on’ all the time. It’s a responsibility to stay authentic and balanced.

Do you ever get mistaken for a celebrity?
Ha! Not that often, but Margot Robbie vibes come up sometimes, which I’ll take! She’s a powerhouse. I also get told Natasha Henstridge, Julie Bowen and Christie Brinkley.

What is the biggest misconception people have about you?
That my life is all glitz and glam. People don’t always see the hustle, the doubts, the self-talk. Social media makes things look shiny, but there’s a lot behind the scenes.

Give us three items you can’t go a day without.
Morning coffee! So, my coffee machine, my Kindle and my phone charger. Major life necessities.

When you’re not on social media or posing for FHM, what else would we find you doing?
Beach walks with my family and fur babies, cozy house hangs, weekend Airbnbs with coffee and long lunches with my girlfriends.

Who is your celebrity crush?
Oh gosh, actor Theo James. I’ve been onboard since the Divergent series and he’s just getting better and better. I respect his talent and the energy he portrays in the roles he plays.

What advice would you give to women when it comes to love and relationships?
Be yourself. Accept compliments, don’t shrink for someone else. Ride that wave of self-worth and let the right energy in.

What’s your best hidden talent?
Knowing where everything is at any given moment. Lost a screw from three months ago in my house? I’ll know where it is.

What’s next for you? Any exciting upcoming projects you can share with us?
At the moment, my focus is revolving around trying to get my six-month-old to sleep! So my time is currently being spent predominantly on my new family, which is a beautiful new chapter for me.
