Niki Simos

From modelling in the Maldives to lighting up billboards in New York, there’s a million reasons why this stunning Aussie model is one to watch…

Hello, Niki, welcome to FHM and congratulations on your cover feature debut. How do you feel?
Thank you! Always grateful, especially to be able to share some of our creative work.

What did you love most about this photo shoot?
Just being able to get out and be creative. I love the creative freedom, which is not always something we get to do on set. Neil [Dixon, photographer] is so easy to work with and it was great to collaborate and explore both of our visions.

Well, you look stunning. What is your best asset, physically and otherwise?
That’s really kind. I guess I wouldn’t put it down to the physical, how we are on the inside is what’s important. So, beyond that I’d probably say maintaining a positive outlook on life and staying grounded.

When do you feel sexy?
When I feel confident and comfortable. Sexiness is less about appearance and more about energy, feeling good internally naturally reflects outwards.

How do you define confidence and sensuality?
Confidence is being who you are, unapologetically and being sure of yourself without needing external validation. Sensuality is a quiet self-assurance, subtle, natural and doesn’t need to be forced.

For those who don’t know much about you, give us a little more background info and your brief life story so far.
I was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, with a proud Greek background. I’ve always found myself naturally gravitating towards creative industries – fashion, dance, modelling. Now I model full-time and study on the side.

What would people be most surprised to know about you?
I’m studying to be a naturopath. It’s an industry I’m really passionate about. It keeps me busy, but I love it.

How did you get into modelling?
I was first scouted on social media and have been in the industry for about nine years now. Modelling wasn’t always something I planned, but it unfolded naturally over time,
so I chose to lean into it. I was based in Melbourne with my beautiful agents from Brooklyn MGMT. Now I spend most of my time in Queensland, placed with the amazing team at Saint Model Management. I really owe it to my agents, but I love being on set seeing everyone come together and share their talents. It really does take a team.

What’s been your career highlight so far?
There’s really so much to be grateful for. But I’d have to say shooting in the Maldives. Also, a billboard in Times Square, NYC was really surreal.

What are the pros and cons of social media?
Social media can be a great platform for connection and opportunity, especially in this industry. However, I try not to get too caught up in the online world – it’s always important to be mindful and present.

Would you ever date one of your Instagram followers?
Haha! Compatibility is more important than where you meet someone. So, who knows?

What do you look for in a guy?
Honestly, I look for a good person with a good heart. Kind, driven and intelligent. Someone supportive, grounded and confident in who they are.

When you’re not on social media or posing for FHM, what else would we find you doing?
With friends and family, at the beach, reading a good book.

What’s your best hidden talent?
Hmm… I’m a dancer. I grew up in the dance industry. It was my whole life for a while and my dream career at one stage.

What’s next for you? Any exciting upcoming projects you can share with us?
Ooh, this is fun! A couple of international trips this year, but other than that just being myself and welcoming any opportunities that come my way.
