The Traxedo

The Bespoke Corner founders Miles Wharton and Rami Mikhael team up with Woodford Reserve for the bourbon’s first fashion collab…

True luxury begins with comfort. It’s an ethos master tailor Miles Wharton and Rami Mikhael of The Bespoke Corner have built their careers on. So, when bourbon label Woodford Reserve was looking to launch their first foray into fashion, Miles and Rami were their first call.

The design brief was deceptively simple: a stylish outfit for men who want to look suave while nursing their tipple of choice. For Miles, who looks after some of Australia’s most influential and powerful men, the collab was a chance to play with the old codes and go bold. Enter the Traxedo: a tailored two-piece tuxedo tracksuit that blends tailored craftsmanship with the comfort of loungewear.

“The Traxedo is a one-of-a-kind piece we’ve never attempted before, blending the precision of bespoke tailoring we at The Bespoke Corner are known for, with the ease of loungewear,” Miles explains. “Partnering with Woodford Reserve felt like a natural fit – it’s a brand that shares our appreciation for craftsmanship, quiet luxury and the simple pleasure of a night well spent.”
Rami – a self-confessed bourbon fanatic – calls the collab a dream partnership. “For me, nothing beats a good bourbon on the couch on a winter’s night in – so when Woodford Reserve came to us with this campaign, it felt like a perfect fit,” he adds.

And as FHM discovered, wearing the Woodford Reserve Traxedo feels almost outrageously luxurious.
A limited-edition collector’s item, the Traxedo is cut from super soft wool jersey – a whiskey-hued Dormeuil fabric. Featuring a shawl lapel jacket, as a nod to the classic tux, paired with an elasticated drawstring trouser, it’s the ultimate tailored-meets-comfort statement piece.
Jessica Beater, Woodford’s Senior Brand Manager at Brown-Forman, sees the Traxedo as a natural extension of the Woodford Reserve lifestyle.

“At Woodford Reserve, we’re all about celebrating substance and style – those small details that make a big statement,” she says. “The Traxedo is the perfect embodiment of that ethos: refined yet relaxed, elevated but unexpected, just like the perfect night in.”
As a branding exercise, the Traxedo is also the perfect way for the Kentucky-based distiller to pay tribute to its loyal Aussie customers. “Partnering with Miles Wharton and The Bespoke Corner for our first Australian fashion collaboration has been an exciting new step for the brand, and we can’t wait to see how Australians embrace this one-of-a-kind creation,” she agrees.

A strictly limited number of Woodford Reserve Traxedos will be available via made-to-measure appointments at The Bespoke Corner’s Sydney and Melbourne boutiques for $2,000. Clients will also receive a bespoke gift bag featuring a Woodford Reserve Old Fashioned Cocktail Kit which includes a limited-edition bottle to enjoy at home.
